The Culture that has been here all the time

When I studied to acquire my Master's status I discovered the M/S relationship existed probably for all the history of humans. Religion and Western Culture distort this greatly. Using codes and euphemisms even denial masks it presents the fact many people thrive within this often unrecognized subculture. For example, my wife had all the earmarks of a pleasure slave and was generally devoted and submissive to me. In times of marriage friction, I often heard the words from a counselor, "She just wants you to love her" "Love her" I thought I was and did now I know without a doubt I need to be a master, not some preconceived idea we are to live as equals.

Hello Friends,

This is an allegory. The Best plants I have ever had were the plants that started all by themselves.  Some seeds were from the previous year's garden, some were from the wind, and some the birds brought. They knew precisely when to germinate; they were adapted to my garden's soil and microclimate. And so it is with friendship.

Friends that grow spontaneously and even serendipitously have the finest roots in a relationship that can be found. They weather the storm better and are genuinely there for each other. Not like some people who often say or text, "I am here for you," but are they genuinely there for you?  True friends are there for each other through good and bad.

Politicians so easily say, "Our hearts and prayers go out to you," but what the people in need require is genuine empathy and help. Yes, we all must strive to be authentic.

I reminded my grandson, who had a habit of being late when he promised to help us: "Let your yes be yes and your no be no." 1

Matthew 5:37 King James Version (KJV)
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

flitter'fly(sub female) - Very well said, and so very true.
People need to be there in the lives of those they call friend, family.
To much hate going on in this world.
Thank You Mr. Andron

ladypatience - My experience in life has taught me in the worst of the worsst moments that i have me. Sometimes there is nothing anyone can say or do to help and during those times i close my eyes and hold on the best i can. It wasnt that i didnt want any support or help its just the family and people in my life werent capable and it is what it always has been. So far i have survived maybe with some scars but im here.
