Today I asked my body what she needed,
Which is a big deal
Considering my journey of
Not Really Asking That Much.

I thought she might need more water.
Or protein.
Or greens.
Or yoga.
Or supplements.
Or movement.

But as I stood in the shower
Reflecting on her stretch marks
Her roundness where I would like flatness,
Her softness where I would like firmness,
All those conditioned wishes
That form a bundle of
Never-Quite-Right-Ness,
She whispered very gently:

Just a gentle reminder to always remember your worth. Never let anyone make you feel that you don't have value! Remember there is no one in the world like you! You are unique! You are special! You matter!

We all have things about ourselves that we would like to change, but remember all those little imperfections make up  wonderful you. Every scar, stretch mark, lump, bump, they are all battles you won, things you have conquered, and times you showed life you were stronger! 

Though you may not think it's perfect, cherish the skin you're in. Remember your worth. Stand tall and hold your head up high. 

Remember, you have a 100% track record of beating everything life has thrown at you so far. You are a warrior! 

Lastly, I'm going to ask you this....if you look in the mirror....are the things you say kind? Would you feel comfortable saying them to someone else about them? If the answer to either is no, you may need to re-evaluate your self talk because you are Amazing! 

Put that shit down! It's heavy!

Imagine how much lighter you will feel if you stop carrying around all that negative self talk! Ask yourself, is this really something I think about myself? Or is this something someone/society told me about myself?

We weren't born hating our bodies and ourselves. Think back to when you were a kid, learning new skills, and marveling in all the amazing things your body could do! Before you let the world decide who you are and de-value you.

Remember that kick ass kid inside you and embrace them! That is still you! You are still in there. Let their voice speak to you with all their excitement at what your body can do and who you truly are!!

Sooooo, I've been here on and off for 5 years now and have participated in many challenges. My favourite to date, was the dress shirt challenge. 

That's actually where my display picture comes from. (It's also the only picture of myself I've ever posted.) It was about 2 years into my stay here when the challenge was issued. I don't have the full original picture anymore, but I will post the display one below. 

I didn't own a dress shirt.....how was I going to participate? Green, Bun, and other ladies were posting fabulous pics in their dress shirts, I wanted to, too! 

So I dug deep and found one of my Dad's old firefighter dress blues and struggled that bad boy on. CLEARLY, he does not have the chest I have as that one button is holding that shirt together on a hope and a prayer!!

THE CHALLENGE: Post a picture in a dress shirt that makes YOU feel sexy! It can be seductively draped open, one or all buttons closed, in just a dress shirt..... You decide. 

The object is not to flash nudity all over Cage but to create a sexy photo that makes YOU feel sexy and good about YOURSELF.

PLEASE REMEMBER this is an adult site, so let's all be adults and keep the comments positive and respectful.

Those who know me know I'm a big advocate for loving yourself and the skin you're in. You don't have to have the "perfect body" by today's standards to look and feel sexy! 

EVERYONE can participate! Big or small, black, white, purple, pink, man, woman, other, scars, birthmarks, etc. It is truly about what  makes YOU feel sexy, so please join in.  Don't worry about others' opinions!!!

I fekking love my office mate! She gets me through the day. When you work with the best, you strive to be your best. 

The morning went sideways fast and I finally got back to my office 2 hours later. I walk in and she starts blasting this song..... I had never heard it but Damn it's catchy!

"She gon' take it up the ah, like a ventriloquist (Ha, ha)" 😂😂 that line had me dying. 

The ending videos to play next on YouTube had me dying. It suggested I listed to "Take me to Church" next!! 😂😂😂
