Oceans so blue

Beautiful and clear

Yet we all knew

The power that is near

 

Waves rising and falling

Hypnotic they are

The sirens are calling

From so very far

 

The life above the sea

The life below the ride

Flys so wild and free

Yet in the depths it will hide

 

It has sparkles and shined

As the light shimmers around

What a beautiful find

What beautiful sound

 

So large and so vast

So little is known

All through the past

So little was shown

 

We keep learning more

Discoveries abound

Who knows what's in store

Who knows what's been found

Oh the walk of life

There are days that are good

There are days full of strife

Yet here we have stood

 

To truly paint a picture of me

I find imagery and rhyme do best

For the enigma of what is to be

To the paths that are the test

 

Creative yet logic to the core

Reclusive yet poetic to the end

To see through and open the door

Is to know the next river bend

 

Number numbers every where

To live life ahead of the day

Yet gentle and full of care

Trying to find a better way

 

To give up one's life

To hold to ones ground

At the edge of a knife

No worry will be found

 

To find ones calling

To find purpose to keep going

To prevent one from falling

Is knowledge worth knowing

 

A kind old soul

A helping hand up

Help reach ones goal

To see the full cup

Lightening so bright

Oh the storm in the sky

Such a beautiful light

As we watch warm and dry

 

You crash and you boom

Yet sparkle and shine

Lighting up the whole room

As we sit to dine

 

The black and the grey

Yet very bright white

Such a contrasting way

What a beautiful sight

 

So random it seems

To go here and there

Like a flittering dream

With light every where

I have taken some time for me

To get through all you can't see

For what can I be if not in top form

Not peaceful and calm but a wild storm

 

Some say a curse, others a joy

Family oh family your schemes they annoy

The last has passed for whom I care

So may the rest rot in hell, I say it I dare

 

I throw you aside

The old me has died

May I move on from the pain

For you all were my bane

 

To close one book

To start one too

We are beginning with a look

To start something new

 

So I toast to everyone

What will the future hold

May it be full of laughter and fun

May you all be so bold

 

I end this short and sweet

A poem fit for a new start

The future I will defeat

Life comes and it goes
When it stops no one knows
We don't know when it will end
Or what's around the next river bend

We try as we might
We do what we can
Yet what is right
Will it be better than

To move on in life
To keep going along
Through the toils and strife
Singing our war song

Pain can be a lot to take
It can catch us off guard
The depth we cannot fake
It can be so very hard

Together we stand
Stronger than one
For that we defend
To make life fun

So may all heal in time
May these words lift your soul

What is it I need to do

Who is it I need to be

I wish I knew

I wish I could see

 

To take life a day at a time

To go with the flow

It just feels like a crime

To go oh so slow

 

I think of what will be

I think so far ahead

I want to be free

Before I am dead

 

Yet we are who we are

We go where we go

Like a shooting star

And ends just so

 

I feel like a rock

Like standing still

Hearing a ticking clock

Looking for a thrill

 

I fill up my day

I work more than I should

Want another way

Dreams if I could

 

To follow along

To create works of art

Like writing a song

Or some other start

 

Make things of wood

Make new ideas flow

Things that I should

Things I want to show

 

Work with my hands all day

Finish in time

Wouldn't have any other way

For a day so sublime

 

This one was so quick

It flowed and it flowed

Maybe that is the trick

For that's what showed

 

I let my heart sing

I let my heart speak

Joy may it bring

In times so bleak

 

Enjoy and make due

But never give in

All the things you been through

They can't stop your win

 

Be strong and true

Be driven ahead

Don't live life blue

Don't lie sleeping in bed

 

Grab life by the horns

Get up and get going

Through bushes and thorns

That keep you from knowing

 

Live and be free

May it last a long while

Maybe with me

We can give it a trial

 

But no matter with who

And no matter what

Please don't be blue

Don't get stuck in a rut

To truly let go

To truly be free

Something I want to know

Something I want to see

 

Can I trust in the dark

Can I trust another one

Like looking at a shark

Yet wanting to have fun

 

To truly let myself out

To truly be me

To just scream and shout

To be so full of glee

 

Will she be afraid

Will she run away

By the choices that are made

Will the costs be too much to pay

 

To be all of you

To have that release

Happiness so true

To feel such peace

 

I will need her to trust

I will need to be sure

For it is a must

To release it on her

 

For there is dark inside

There is something cold

That which I had to hide

That which I had to hold

The side that will defend

How it can go so fast

How it will fight to the bitter end

 

It can be play

It can be fun

As you are thrown that way

Oh how to be exact

Why do you elude me

To be just a fact

Something I want to see

 

To not be a guess

To be just the same

It's all just a mess

It is such a shame

 

Ingredients just so

Temperature set right

The box lets me know

The parameters are tight

 

I can not cook

But I can grill

Unless from a book

Very stressful still

 

I wish it was better

I wish I could

Yet right to the letter

Like everything should

 

My numbers all make sense

My concepts are so true

Why I am so tense

Why I can't see it through

 

I start a second guess

Worried something's wrong

Is it more or less

Has it been too long

 

To be exact like me

And not from a book

You won't want to be

Just hire a cook

We don't really know

Where they will be from

Yet it will always show

That help that will come

 

Needed at points in time

That strength that they give

When life's not sublime

Like stabbed with a shiv

Friends can be made

Even when you are blue

 

You can pull them up

As they pull you along

From that empty cup

To singing in song

A set standard to beat

 

Your allure is so strong

Hair beautiful and long

Worth all the trials

 

Never give in

To giggle and laugh

The will battle to win

It's not even half

 

Such a treasure you are

Such a treasure you can be

Like a bright shining star

For someone to see

 

I see much in you

I see a big guess
