Fair's Poetry

Lets be honest, there is some darkness here, it took writing it to heal, and I'm getting back to me. Happy.

You felt like a sanctuary carved from light,
A place never touched, never saw the fight,
Like moss and rock beneath a willow tree,
Where even broken hearts are set free.

You were fae born laughter in midnight air,
Barefoot and magic woven without care,
Eyes holding secrets older than flame,
Soft as a lips whisper that spoke my name.

We walked where dragons sleep under stone,
Their embers warm, but never shown,
I felt their fire in the curvature of your grin,
A soft blaze awakening something within.

My wolf kept watch as we learned pace,
Silver and patient, granting space,
They knew the truth before we dared speak,
That strength can be gentle, fierce and meek.

You touched my soul like myth made real,
Not a wound to take, but one to heal,
Every word was a vow unspoken,
Every glance a promise unbroken.

Our love would not rush us or ask for more,
It bloomed like ivy climbing along the door,
Slow,certain, peaceful, strong and kind,
Rooted deep in heart, soul and mind.

If stories do end, please god let this one stay,
Let it forever be written in fire, leaf, and clay,
A legend told by sailors on star and sea,
Of you my love, of me, and what it all can be.

Oh ma'am, The Star of the sea....
