We had a bit of fun this morning all teasing about drinking today but huge respect and support for you Jaz. When the drinking isn't fun or hurts more than it helps sometimes it's necessary to put it down. You've got this, it's not easy but you are stronger than the bottle. 💪

I quit smoking cold turkey, it was easy because I didn't want to smoke anymore, I didn't enjoy it. Drinking is another story....I love the numbness it gives me, I don't feel all the crap I feel when sober. That being said....I am doing my best to try to find enjoyment outside of the bottle, and this is just my first hurdle

Totally understand your feelings there Jaz. Not being trite, it's a legit suggestion...have you tried any sexual redirections when you feel the urge to drink, like masturbating, or self flagation (if that's appealing), or the assistance of a friendly partner if it's appropriate to your current relationship (had a friend I'd send pictures of meself to as 'reward' for abstaining from lighting up when he was trying to quit smoking...granted, obviously he did NOT have high standards but it helped him out and I enjoyed it so it was a win win for us! 🤣)? It's a very effective technique, rewiring one base desire by partaking in another. Much luck to you!!!
