One of my all time favourite movies... I've been meaning to read the book, but never have.
Definitely shed a couple of tears over Rutger Hauer's death... but of course, my sadness was lost to time, just like my tears in rain.

Rutger Hauer was (and, still is) my favourite actor.
I, too, love Blade runner. Rutger pretty much came up with the time to die monologue himself, and it was his idea to be holding the dove.
The book is good, I love the author, but the narrative is completely different to the film. The novel just kinda inspired the film, rather than being turned into a direct screenplay.

That's what I've heard. Rutger Hauer will always be Roy Batty for me because I think the monologue and the dove are such excellent additions to his character.
I look forward to reading the book, but I don't think you have to enjoy the same things about a film that you do about a written story. Some things just don't translate to the other medium as well. I think the best movie adaptations are "inspirations" instead of following the same narratives. I haven't read a lot of Philip K. Dick, but as much as I enjoyed Martian Time Slip, I don't think I would want to see a movie that follows that narrative. Would I see it in cyberpunk film noire with Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer? Hell yes!

When I was younger, I voraciously read scifi and fantasy and PK Dick was one of my favourite authors.
I need to get back into reading again. Haven't read any fiction in years.

I think I just need to read more in general. Any other PK Dick favourites?

The heart beats a bit faster.
Breath ragged in anticipation..
Skin flushed in blush...
