Infernal Affairs

One man's memoir of debauched enlightenment
2 years ago. February 20, 2022 at 5:59 PM

When it's stormy outside, the wind is howling and the rain lashes at the window, I love to feel cosy - warm and dry - at home.

But, there's something deep inside of me that wants to step outside, face the raging gales, climb up to the highest peak and scream into the wind.

An elemental kinship, harking back to times most ancient.

A Cloud(sub female){Owned} - I love this! Completely understand. When it's raining, people offer their umbrella to me. No thanks - I love to feel the rain and I hate the barrier an umbrella imposes. I dance in the rain.

Habardr(dom male) - There are some really good hikes to be had around here that can feel wonderfully elemental in the right kind of weather.

A Cloud(sub female){Owned} - It sounds beautiful. I am also blessed to live in such a beautiful landscape of forest, bush and coast. My memories of childhood are of farmland and beach. They are the memories that stay.

It's also proven that just being outside shifts the focus from internal subjective thinking to more open-minded objective thinking. The more we see outside ourselves, the more connected we are. It says a lot about how we should be relating.
