Rope or metal what do you prefer

For me it used to be rope. everything had to be tied down, It was either rope or nothing. Then one time I got chained to a floor in the basement by the neck and that was it. That is when I changed .

There's something about chains

and the rigidity of metal . The cold kiss as it put on you. The sound of a lock closing. The helpless feeling you get knowing escape is impossible. What's your choice ?

dollMaker(dom male) - To use on their own neither, with leather cuffs yes. Rope on its own carries risks, that only knowing how to use rope properly will mitigate and I am fairly sure that chains on their own carry risks, but in different ways to rope, but that might cause similar damage, nerve issues etc. For me leather cuffs, I tend to use padded ones, spread the load more gently and can be removed very quickly (EMT Shears) if something goes wrong, something that chains do not permit.

Satindragon - I love the way rope feels but at the same time agree with the above statement about safety. Leather cuffs are quicker to remove in an emergency.
