A Little Bird…

Held gently in a pair of hands, with a fluttering heart.

Kept safe and warm

Given new life

Taught not to fear

Healed and cared for

To feel cherished

So able to take flight, truly for the first time to fly freely

But to return to the hands that gives so much care
