Stephen R. Donaldson.
George R. R. Martin.
And if you are a python fan, Terry Jones wrote the novelized version of a computer game created by Douglas Adams. So a collaboration of sorts.

Steal away. 😚

My Dear{Trust} - Piers Anthony's Xanth series is The Best way to take a break between heavier, more serious or dramatic reads. Nothing like a well written story loaded with bad puns and shocking panties to clear the mind! LOL
