I still remember ~ after all these years,

those perfumed letters she used to send me.

Life was so vibrant then,

and my love so alive.

I was sure I would die

If I couldnt touch her one more time.

I didnt . . . .and I didnt.

Her kids have kids now.

I think she lives somewhere around Chicago.
