One year my wife and I decided to break tradition and swap all the holidays around, celebrating Chistmas on the fourth of July and Thanksgiving on Halloween . . . And Easter on New years, and we got divorced on valentines day - it was great fun

The holidays can be a stark reminder for some of what they 'dont' have, or what they lost.
And it can be painful seeing all the celebrating going on -
And the commercialism crammed with a plunger down our throats!! - spend spend spend . . . .
And all the fucking ho ho ho and the stupid decorations

The point is, it can be a time of great sorrow for some.
I come to understand, the 'haves' have a right to celebrate what they have, who they have - I do not resent them. Blessings and good cheer ?
But if you're alone during this holiday season, or just feeling alone - please remember - there are many who do as well.
