My interpretation of the song is that it is from a man's point of view who loves too easily, even if he doesn't know why. There are large expectations and heavy responsibilities on his shoulders, and he sees the saddened child within others that reflects his own. He's drawn to these people, who match his broken. The women he picks are essentially unavailable because they're dealing with their own issues, detached and feeling unlovable - unwilling to let someone else get close. A woman who is stuck in a stagnant perpetuum, longing but unaware of how to break the cycle and be free to love, to let someone help to heal her inner child.

I understand and relate to it from both points of view, being both the man and woman. The only difference is that I'm trying - trying to be better, trying to be open, trying to heal, trying to let others in ?

For me, the song I chose - its not so much about the lyrics (im not even sure what some of the lyrics are ?)
Its more the beat, the feel, the groove, the rhythm. When im walking down a city sidewalk, thats whats playin in my head and beating in my heart.
