Stealth and discipline

Lazuli - Some of submission is about escaping the weight of what I endure and carry on the daily. An enormous part of it, for me, that I have to heave a lot of protection on to survive the daily. I have to wear armor and padding and stand tall. It becomes a habit, it isn’t my natural thing. It’s my response to the world around me to be fierce. Sometimes, I forget the origins, the core, who I really am. In order to feel balance I need to boil it down, I need a reduction to the core. It’s like the armor gets stuck to you and you don’t feel able to move freely. Help peeling off those layers is like being whittled down to a simpler more complete and untethered self.

Satindragon - You and Lazuli defined it perfectly in my opinion. We get up each morning and put on our daily armor. Prepared to face whatever comes our way. Sometimes we are blessed to have someone in our lives who gently removes that armor and sets us free.
