I'mME - Hallelujah.
It sucks to be without a ride. I could not get my truck to start out of the blue. I checked everything one might check. So I called a mobile mechanic, the only three I could find online.
Left messages as asked for 2 , the third answered the phone. I explained (it was 8:30pm) the issue. They told me yada yada to try. These were things I had already checked. They said they could not come then. The next day I called again at 2pm. This guy just didn't want to come. I'm not sure what the issue was. Like maybe they had made all the money they needed to in life. 😂
They told me they would call me back later. No call.
So three weeks later I am waiting on a ride at Walmart, took Uber there. I'm standing there waiting , and a guy walks up. I said they are closed. ( It still amazes me the number of people who try to go to wally world thinking the are still open 24/7) He replied , yes I know. I started laughing and said, "You would be surprised who doesn't know!" He laughed and said, "no my wife is a manager here and she said people come all the time and knock on the doors ! "
So I go back to just standing there and wondering why people are such litter pigs. Then that guy says, You remind me of a friend I used to work with (and said my full name), It was then I recognized him. I said I am her and called him by his name. He was carrying a full beard, only saw him w a moustache, never would have recognized him without him speaking. Long story short, he ended up coming to my house the next day and figured out the fuel switch had been flipped. I paid him $50 for 15 min of work. And i added some more mechanical knowledge to compartment in my head. I never wanted to be a mechanic and I am not a mechanic but between me and YouTube I understand how a vehicle runs, what it needs to run and I'm fairly competent with tools, with Chevy/GMC products. 😂 I drive a Mazda B3000 series which is actually a Ford ranger, lmao.

Apologies. Happy yall got a new ride. I have went over a year without a ride. Being Adaptable can serve us well when it's the only choice we have, it separates those who know and those who don't.
