He isn't there to tuck her in
He isn't there to give her hugs and kisses
He isn't there to give her cuddles or tickles
His little girl needs Him but He isn't there
She learns and grows each day
Accepting herself in her own way
She sometimes has to hide away
But she knows it won't always have to be this way
One day He will hold her hand
Giving her tickles and smiling at her giggles
He will hold her tight as he puts her to bed
Kissing her forehead as she drifts to sleep
His happy little girl
