preface: One of the lessons I learned from our mentor I remember to this day and it has been proven to me over and over again. Love is a living thing and like all living things it changes over time and the mark of a good love life is our ability to adapt to those changes the woman you are marrying tomorrow is not the same woman you will find yourself with in 20 years but if you can adapt and she can adapt to what life brings you your love will endure.

Sir John

                                                                                                responsibilities

After the two lawyers brought me to a hotel and told me that some one will pick me up for dinner later. when I got out of the shower there was a knock at my door, two men stood there with cloths they told me that they were there to dress me I thought they were joking after all I was 15 and knew how to dress myself. They explained that  they had  several suits for me to try on and they would tailor them to fit. They fit me with a suit for that night and said they would be back tomorrow with the rest. So there I was mostly dressed trying to figure out how to tie a tie. When there was a gentile knock at my door again. This time when I opened it there stood a woman who could be anything from 20 to 40 she had a smile on her face and just seemed to radiate care and kindness and love. She said high Tim my name is Jane and I am your godmother.  She hugged me and said I haven't seen you since I held you in my arms in church at your baptism and became your godmother she guided me over to a couch and sat next to me. First let me say I can't tell you how sorry I am, I'm going to miss that randy old coot. And I apologize for not being here sooner you must have felt lost. (Let me state for the record this is the woman who taught  me the reason god made mothers).  Just sitting next to her I started to relax and I was not even aware of the tension I was feeling the last few months, now I don't have a lot of time before James  shows up but let me say this I want you to come to me whenever you might start to feel lost I will always help you find your way that's my job and one of the reasons I live for.

Have you ever realized you can tell a lot about someone just from the way they knock on you door I mean you can tell weather its friend or foe even debt collectors have a sound. The knock from him was gentile yet firm it was both kind and commanding at the same time. When I let him in he waved Jane to stay seated and took my hand in firm shack as he said have a seat Tim and let me introduce my self to you and tell why I'm here. Did your father ever talk to you about the war. I said no sir he said I was to young to here that shit. He laughed for a few minuets and then said that is one of the best explanations of war I have heard in a long time. Well your father and I served together I was a sniper and your father was my spotter and the Judge was our officer.  So I'm sure you know that the guys you serve with become your brothers in a way. Well there is an even closer bond between the sniper and his spotter as the shooter all your concentration go to making the shot and you depend on your spotter to keep you safe till you take that shot well your father kept me safe and protected me and saved my life on more then one occasion. One time he went as they say above and beyond I took a wound and could not retreat your father dressed my wound hid me then grabbed my gun and ran because he had my gun the  V.C. chased after him he then came back with the rest of the platoon to rescue me so you see Tim I owe your father my life and I am very glad that he found away for me to make it up to him by giving his son whatever good life I can. And as your godparents that is exactly what I am going to do. Now that said I'm going to tell you something young man you have impressed me and I don't impress easy 15 years old and keeping the ranch and trying to make a go of it that is impressive as hell can I ask you why you didn't sell you would have made a good amount in the middle of oil country even if it had none its close enough to Huston for an entire suburb to be built. I had to try sir my family has been working on a breeding program for several generations and it was just showing results I couldn't let it die. Tim tell me about this dream your family has been working on my grandfather was reading up on history about horses. What he found was a section of what where called chargers the knights used to ride them into battle they weren't built for great speed they were built for power and brains they would stand and defend there rider if he fell off they would stay and defend him till he got back up. Over the years they where breed for strength and lost the brain power they needed for war and became plow horses. Because of our history of training horses for the army he tried breeding the brains back in. You see sir his idea was to make them the perfect hunting horse. he just nodded his head and looked at me then just said good for now let me think on this we'll talk more on it later at the ranch after I see these horses for myself.

Grey Eyes(sub female){Owned} - What a wonderful turn of events for you Sir Tim. You had to be frightened even though you were obviously a very mature, incredibly gifted young man. Everything is connected. Their timing was meant to be.

And thank you Sir John for your preface. You are right, all relationships evolve. In my humble opinion, all can be lost if you don't evolve with it.
