It starts with the sauna scented with jasmine and lavender to calm me
Skin scraped and washed with blessed water.
Oils of vanilla, liquorice and musk applied.
Carried to my bed of pine boughs and silk.
Two women at my head to hold my hands tightly.
Two at my feet to prepare he who enters me.
Finally, as the first star is seen the first lash is felt.
As full dark descends the first seed is placed.
And the sacrifice of solstice winter starts.
