The Isolation Diaries

So this is my first day of not remote working in this dystopian future.  

im currently drawing up plans to expand my bunker complex in order to increase my capacity to cultivate food without having to risk running into any infected.

Something very special happened last night when i was patrolling the local area with my dog.  For the first time in a long time I see a fox.  

Normally regarded as vermin in a more urban setting like this it felt like a miracle to see one of god’s creations, so beautiful and majestic, being able to survive out in these wasteland.  

Seeing it forage around for scraps of food filled me with such hope that one day, just one day, life might get back to normal.  It tasted pretty good too.

So for the first time in just over 2 weeks I felt confident enough to venture out of my bunker and brave the supermarkets for much needed supplies.

i did not go without protection, before leave I made sure that I securely tapped a pair of scissors to the end of a broom handle, incase I ran into any infected.

Once I was ready I stepped wearily into the sunlight, eye squinting as they adjusted to the day.

the drive to Tesco was oddly  quiet, until I got there.  The were hordes of infected fighting over toilet paper and pasta.  Thankfully I had thought ahead and before the pandemic hit was able to stock up on two ply tp....the good stuff.

i only needed the essentials, Irn-Bru, slice sausage and some bread.  

only one infected came close to me and they were quickly dispatched with my rudimentary spear.

Supplies acquired I made my way home.  

i had survived, so far in this brave new world.

hopefully I’ll have another update tomorrow, till then stay safe.

Ok, so first post on this shiney new Blog, I’ll try and make it good.

So it’s been 16 days since big BoJo declares the Purge and everyone fought to the death over two-ply Andrex.  While the world burned around me I thought I’d finally get round to exploring my more submissive side and joined this (as well as a couple of other. But don’t tell anyone ) 

I can honestly say this site is one of the more pleasant places to waste my time whilst remotely working.

i am looking for ways to pass time in the apocalypse though so if any one has any suggestions fire them my way.
