Can urges be good or bad, or are they just urges until we somehow respond to them?

There are common urges that motivate me everyday. They pull me along, or push me toward some small goal. They compel me to keep moving, keep growing, keep learning, keep sharing, and most importantly, keep loving.

The urge to give, the urge to serve, the urge to care, the urge to share, the urge to learn and grow. 

Are these urges common to everyone, or unique to me? 

What do we do with blocked urges, their fulfillment elusive? Dreams dissolved like morning mist, still a shadow remains to compel me onward. Forward. Always forward.
