Strong Polar Bear,

Full of life and zeal.

Clever Polar Bear,

Hunts the elusive seal.

Running through the tundra scene,

His coat is glossy and clean,

All hail the Polar King.

Strong Polar Bear,

Knows how to stay alive.

Wise Polar Bear,

Teaches his pups to thrive.

Working hard to show he cares,

Paving the way for future bears,

All hail the Polar King

Strong Polar Bear,

Holds his head up high.

Aged Polar Bear,

Lets out a ragged sigh.

Ruling the tundra year after year,

A sad truth is becoming so clear,

All hail the Polar King

Strong Polar Bear,

Eyes dim and begin to cloud.

Tired Polar Bear,

Ashamed and no longer proud.

What more can he give,

Not much longer to live,

All hail the Polar King.

Re-inspired to write again. Been on a long hiatus because of my father's failing health and the drama that has come from him, and those around him, accepting his own mortality. A proud man, he believe himself to be the master of his own fate, and that this situation he finds himself in is a direct reflection of his own incompetence. Very few words I have to offer him to dissuade him of this mentality, but every day I do it anyway. In all stages of his life, he has been a strong Polar Bear. Even now, with shaking hands and unsteady legs, he shows me the kind of strength of character I only wish to emulate one day. A man of service, I do not ever recall him doing anything that did not stem from his care of his fellow man. Every day he shows me a smile through medications and torturous treatments. Through surgeries, infections, bruises, and lacerations, he looks at me with kindness, care, and concern. He may think he has become weak, but all I see is the strength of his resolve and the power of his soul. he deserves every minute I can give him, considering he has given me an entire lifetime of devoted service.

The Bear: Sanctuary and Rest

A navigator of the dream world, Bear appreciates the value of rest and quietude. He instinctively knows how much downtime is needed to recharge. During this repose, Bear ponders and reflects within the realm of the subconscious, trusting in the healing process that his sanctuary brings. Introspective and strong, Bear is here to remind you that you have within you all the answers you need, if only you pause and listen. When overwhelmed, distance yourself from the situation until you gain back enough strength to stand up to it again. Slow down and nourish your spirit. Be receptive to your intuition. By the grace of your inner-sanctum, regroup and recharge.

Retreat, rest, sanctuary, recuperation, healing, spiritual counseling, meditation

Literate Lycan(dom male) - It’s amazing, inspiring and beautiful how a strong father can not only show you how to gracefully and powerfully walk through life but also how to bravely and stoicly accept death. It’s good for both you and he that you see the strength in his resolve and the power in his soul. Thank you for sharing and all the best to you.

Sweet Ginger(sub female){} - That is a wonderful analogy! Polar bears are beautiful amazing creatures that I hope will be preserved even with climate changes for generations to come.
