Still leaving

2 years ago. October 16, 2022 at 7:50 PM

It has been awhile since I put anything into print..

This is not a kink post but a question that all of us must ask of ourselves.

I absolutely love my job, not only do I enjoy that I am self-employed. As a Railway Signalling Engineer, my responsibilities mean that the every day public are safe every time they travel.

I love the pressure and time constraints to get the job done safely, and on time. No cutting corners, as I know if I screw up then I could end up in prison.

I know my tech training was second to none as the RAF No.4 SofTT are the absolute best.

What I hate is the licence renewal every five years. The absolute bollocks of collecting evidence and the writing of a novel to try and prove to some idiot that has never done the job on the ground.

I hate that bit. On the other hand I still love my job even if I have to jump through a load of hoops just to prove my work ethic and technical abilities.

Come wind, rain or shine that is a small part of what makes me tick

balloonkotinsp - I've been fortunate enough to enjoy what I do. I've been at it for 35 years. And still get out of bed looking forward to the challenges of the day. We should consider ourselves lucky. Many are not.
