Slave - A person who gives up total control of one or more parts of their life to a master.

Can you be a slave and a submissive? Are you one in the same? I always had the idea in my head that a submissive was a step or two above a slave. I have no idea why... but I did. Everything I read about the two doesn't show that distinction at all. I would really like to hear what everyone else think about the two...

Thoughts?

My Dear{Trust} - Saying one is above the other, in my opinion is a comparison of apples and oranges.

CSI - I think that all slaves are submissives but all submissives are not slaves. Slaves must have inherently submissive tendencies in order to wholly commit to being property, but not all submissives are willing or able to give up full and total control. I don't think one is above or below the other. They are different
