Verification is completed through Veriff, a trusted third-party service specialising in secure identity verification. You'll submit a photo ID and a selfie for confirmation. The process is quick, easy, and handled entirely by Veriff under strict international data protection standards.
THE CAGE receives only a pass or fail confirmation from Veriff. We do not receive, store, or retain any of the personal data you submit as part of the verification process. Veriff's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data.

Verification usually takes a few minutes but may take up to 24 hours in some cases. You will be notified once the process is complete.
Identity verification via Veriff is optional for all members, but highly encouraged to support a safer and more authentic community experience. Please note that UK members are separately required to complete age verification via Yoti before accessing the platform, unless they have already completed Identity Verification via Veriff, which also confirms age; see our 18+ Age Checks section for details.
Photos and the written content of profiles are not verified by Veriff. All profile content and images remain subject to our Content Policy and platform moderation regardless of verified status.
Yes. Verified status may be revoked if your account violates our Terms of Service or if your identity is no longer valid.
Yes. After two years, your verification will expire and you will need to complete the process again using current information.
