At most it could be a false analogy fallacy, but again, no argument is presented so there’s no logical fallacies being used. Strawman is what you’re doing by “confusing” a question with a claim or an argument, unless you’re not confused and actually thinks an argument was presented. |

A strawman argument is an attempt to force the asked person to give a anticipated answer. BTW everyone: The original poster of this thread has a deactivate profile. So we are all just screaming at the walls. |

Wrong again, a strawman argument is a rhetorical tool when someone misrepresents another person’s position or argument, the person in question never presented an argument, you on the other hand are actually misrepresenting what this person said and that’s in fact a strawman argument. I don’t try to be rude here but in honor of intellectual honesty I felt compelled to correct something that you’re criticising and at the same time doing it, it’s always a good thing to give an informed opinion instead of making arguments from ignorance. |
