GenZ Malesub Thoughts Wanted! :D

Hi guys icon_smile.gif I know you lurk and want to post something. If you want to be visible, you have to be active.

How do you feel the progressive trends of our modern era have affected your submission? Do you ever feel like there's conflicting pressure with nu-masculinity, manosphere-esque mentalities floating about, to choose one or the other? If you're comfortable sharing, are you ever concerned about how you might be perceived?

So as not to be exclusionary, to anyone of other groups, are you comfortable with the directions that young men are being encouraged? That's obviously a little bit of a loaded question, so I'll refine it a little - obviously, everyone on here SHOULD be supportive of submission as a romantic preference, and assume nothing more. But, is there anything that worries you about specifically the way submissive men are being considered/treated?

To give something to respond to, I've felt like there's been a surprising lack of progress made on the understanding of the femdom/malesub relationship relative to maledom/femsub, in that the latter has kind of formed associations with "traditional lifestyles" like homesteading or theism, but fd/ms still sits squarely in a fetish space. Arguably it seems to be getting worse, but maybe that's because it's still something that people prefer to keep on the downlow. Thoughts?

WOW! You peaked my curiosity. I'm wondering how the younger generation really feels about all this.

Full disclosure: I have been a sub in a Femdom marriage for many years. Quite frankly, as an "older" person (we're in our 70's), you used terms I have no idea what they mean. My generation kept things much simplier.

PLEASE don't misunderstand, we know a lot of people in every generation and are not criticizing in any way. The Femdom lifestyle is a wonderful one when done with the right partner.

Interesting question: " If you're comfortable sharing, are you ever concerned about how you might be perceived?"
We don't hide our lifestyle, but we don't flaunt it either. We have no concerns about how we may be perceived - it's our choice. But, please understand, we are also respectful of others when in public.

Over the last ten years, there has been such a huge backlash against anything perceived as being diverse, or non-traditional sexually, that it seems like certain forces are trying to corral our modern, sexually liberated society back to the 1950s-era sexual repression. I worry not just about perception but about a possible loss of sexual freedom, as these forces seem to be winning... I have been told, even by certain members of this forum, that I am "Going Against God's Plan" or that I am "Going to Hell" because I would place myself in a subservient position to a woman.

I do live in an area where a lot of people are sexually conservative. So yes, I do worry about how it might be perceived if it came out that I was into being submissive to a woman. It does pose difficulties in the dating scene, where most women I meet tend to prefer traditional masculine types; I really have to keep that submissive side of me hidden in order to not scare off a potential partner.

I don't think they're winning, the questions that come with sexual liberation are just being asked far more pointedly and that merits more concrete responses. Like "traditional masculinity", as you mention. Guys are being forced to confront the fact that masculine and feminine traits are really arbitrarily defined, which leads to either nuanced discussion (aka liberation) or a far more firm reaction than would've been necessary back when consideration of those traits wasn't something bothered with.

I'm surprised you meet women of that preference though Steel, is it a demographic thing? You're very regular on here, I'm surprised you don't have a friendlier community IRL.

Are you kidding my life Steelover? People in a sexually deviant site mix their religious views and speak of God here???? Thats hilarious like offering to smoke a joint with the pope! Or equal to send a nun porn for Christmas! Sexual deviance and religion don’t go together. Brazen enough to suggest on God’s behalf where your going (Heaven or Hell)??? What did they receive tickets early or just that high and mighty on themselves that surely they are finer and more acceptable human beings? Lolololol Tell ya what, whoever these “people” are in here, I’ll pray for you and don’t forget to thank God for The Cage and your need to be paddled or to paddle another tonight. Report these lunatics Steelover.. i would say “sinners” but my tongue is up someones ass atm.

^Yes, indeed it has happened before on this forum. Granted it was a while ago since I've read anything like that, but yes, more than one person has made comments to that effect on here and yes, it did make me uncomfortable. The posters were, unsurprisingly, dominant males, seeking a "Trad Wife" household type relationship, and I suppose that for them, religion was their "Crutch" they used to justify their male dominance. Which surprisingly I would not have had a problem with; what I took issue with was them basically judging me, and my submissive orientation to be "Wrong,"- flawed, immoral or ungodly in various ways.

As for where I live, there really isn't much of a kink community to speak of here, and what there is, is very exclusive, not very open or visible to newcomers, and is geared mainly towards female submissives/male dominants. Before 2020 (I don't know if they're even still around) there was a small local BDSM group and I did approach them several years ago but I didn't really get anywhere; as a male submissive I would have been considered an outsider.

And yes, much of that is demographics; the Latter Day Saints are the dominant religion in this area. Now, don't get me wrong; As a general rule, I like the Mormons; they tend to be honest, hard working, good people who have the same values of environmental stewardship and basic respect that I do, and would never cheat you or do you wrong. But they also tend to be VERY conservative in terms of sexuality; in many cases viewing it as something to be endured for the sake of procreation, rather than enjoyed for sake of recreation. Any sort of kink, or BDSM especially, would be considered disturbingly taboo among most of them. This view is sadly all too common here.

Sooo sorry to read steel… i am more thankful for the big smoke/ Jurassic park/ the 6 AKA Toronto, everyday. Don’t know how much i could handle and small town or conservative views population. I hope you get some time away to visit a booming bdsm scene.
