What do you love about impact play?

Just like the question asks, what exactly do you enjoy about impact play whether you're on the Top side or Bottoming side? For me personally, as a Sadist, I absolutely thrive in a scene where I'm dishing out hard blows and yet my Bottom still smiles and laughs with me, wanting more and more. The aftermath shown on their bodies is the cherry on top.

I'm kinda the opposite. I love to hear the bottom yelp in pain, squirm, and shudder in anticipation of the next blow. I haven't yet had a partner who'd go so far as to cry, but man that'd be hot. I want them to beg me to stop (without using the safe word) so I can say "no", call me a cruel bastard, and ultimately collapse into a puddle. Optimal state for cuddling and affirmation if you ask me.

For me it is a combination of different things. I like not for the impact itself but because it makes me feel incredibly vulnerable and I want him senses that. I not consider myself a masochist so it’s about the whole ritual. I love when i can receive whatever he wants to give, whether is stress relief or simply dominance.

I had always thought "impact play" was beating with fists or blunt objects (That shit was always a hard limit when I was active. I'm never keen on deep bruising, broken bones or any other results from that violent crap)
