Edd, the Pygmalion/My Fair Lady comparison is really interesting and honestly something I hadn’t thought of. That gets surprisingly close to what I was trying to describe, especially the idea that the transformation itself could be rewarding to both people.

And I appreciate hearing it from your perspective as a submissive. I think you are right that it would be an enormous challenge for both people. It would take a hell of a lot more than somebody simply liking the fantasy of being “remade.” There would have to be real commitment to the work on both sides.

That is actually why I asked. I could imagine the fantasy very easily. I was much more curious whether people had seen it work as an actual D/s dynamic.

And your point about actually being ready for the work makes complete sense. The fantasy of being transformed is easy. Being told an uncomfortable truth, changing a habit you have had for twenty years, doing something when you would rather be lazy, taking responsibility when you screw up, or getting professional help when something genuinely needs professional help is a very different thing.

I also appreciate you bringing up health and mental health. I would never want to suggest that a Domme should somehow replace a doctor, therapist, trainer or anybody else a person legitimately needs. And obviously none of what I’m describing works without consent and a tremendous amount of trust.

What fascinated me was what happens "around" those things. A Dominant setting standards, expecting accountability, training someone in the ways that matter to her and actually enjoying watching that person change under her influence.

So hearing you simply say, “Yes, I enjoy this,” is fascinating to me because that really was the question underneath all of my excessive pig language.
