Sleep deprivation

Not sure if it will work for your level, but I find a quick orgasm (not enough to build up a sweat, you will have to wait to come down from the excercise) and a night quill, the medicine.

For the future, I would start a meditation routine, learning to watch your breath. My sleep meditation routine involves (with my eyes closed) crossing them as hard as I can, then slowly rolling them into the back of my head, and repeating this while chasing the relaxation.

Sometimes blinking really quickly is enough to make your eyes tired, could try that prior too.

Just some tips I use for myself. But that is because I try and get 8 hours a day, so plenty of time I need to force myself to be tired and shut my mind off, not always an easy task.

See a doctor asap. It could be a number of things. Direct message me if you'd like.

Firstly, I’m sorry to hear about the sleep deprivation. I also suffer with it and understand how challenging it is to function during a bad spell.

Is your mind busy when it comes to bedtime? I find that my head is always racing with thoughts. Some useful, others not so. I keep a notepad next to my bed (and everywhere I go) so that I can jot down the loud thoughts as a mental reassurance that I won’t forget this idea, I just don’t need to be concerned with it now (bedtime especially).

Do you read? Next to my notepad, I keep my current read. I reach for this to unwind and read until my eyes grow tired. Healthier than reaching for your phone, or devices alike, and if it’s an educational book, you might learn something new at the same time.

Even though I have just said devices are not a good idea, there are ways you can use them to assist you with feeling sleepy enough to sleep! You could choose some calming music/sounds and set your device away from you and just close your eyes and tune in. Personally, I enjoy certain types of ASMR as it gets inside my head and lulls me into a sleepy state. I find it rather hypnotic. I appreciate this isn’t for everyone, but if you haven’t tried it, I would recommend doing some exploration there. Be kind to your eyes and don’t forget to turn your brightness down if using your device at night. A lot of smartphones have a night-mode setting which will start to reduce the blue light intensity on your screen at a certain point in the evening.

I am aware that others on your thread have suggested hot drinks before bed, I would second this, just make sure they are decaffeinated and where possible, avoid drinking caffeine after 3/4pm. Give your body has time to relax in anticipation of bedtime.

Finally, I would suggest an orgasm (or two!) before sleep, if you are able. Something to get the heart rate up a little! You should then find any tensions have been eased and you are far more relaxed for sleep. There’s something about that post-orgasm bliss that just gets you feeling sleepy sometimes.

Anyway, I’ve gone on enough here. I do hope this was somewhat helpful and that you find your solution soon. Take care!
