Chocolate is an excellent pick me up for both Dom and sub after a session, whether a regular candy bar or hot chocolate during the winter months. It gives you something physical to focus on, some needed sugar and carbs, and a subconscious comfort boost because who doesn't like chocolate? Always keep chocolate nearby.

I swear by Arnica! I've used it for post surgery recovery and impact play. I heal pretty quickly regardless, but it helps immensely for both pain and the physical bruising.

Aftercare for me (varies partner to partner): cuddles! Shower with my Dom and we chat about the scene. A light snack (mandarins, chocolate, etc). Lots of water. And I also get cold after play, so a warm blanket is lovely. A check-in from my Dom a day or two after. Really appreciate when that happens.
