Thirst traps are what they are, though poorly written, bad advice, wanabe, fantasist, one twue way nonsense that comes off as a charter for abuse, worded in just the right way to appeal to ignorant newbies is a deeply disturbing thing, particularly as newbies won’t have the knowledge, experience to spot the red flags, danger contained within such thirst traps. I guess all anyone can do is raise a hand, say scuse me, and giving benefit of the doubt, comment on such writing, blogs, offer a challenge, and see what occurs, if the writer blocks and or deletes the respectful comments then that says everything one needs to know regarding the poster and their motives. Often domly, mc dom, and its often those types, though it can be subby mc sub don’t like having their dangerous fantasy traps challenged or exposed so react with trying to silence, sweep under the carpet such concerns, as it might highlight issues that some might miss and get drawn in to unhealthy involvements - basically they don’t want their trap exposed, for what it is. Thirst trap. I haven't heard that term. It's perfect. I haven't searched for plagiarism. I just find them odd. And yes, I was deleted on one recently. Their prerogative of course. But it makes you wonder... I too have been historically blocked and had a -respectful but challenging- comment deleted by said poster/blocker. Its happened a few times in my time here, and is always very telling as to the motive of the blogger. At least within the forum its possible to highlight potential issues etc and not have those deleted. Whether anyone agrees, thinks its valid or not, notices (rarely it seems the people that need to notice) is another matter. |

I share stuff but with own but hard to find not heard of it I will share nothing more. Could say more take otor leave it just the internet prince said don't let the internet get you hooked but cool to get on the internet. Some authors are anonymous also they like to live like that some words get carried by others those words can be shared thousand times I guess bless it that its being shared so people get to hear the story at least.
Fine to share and quotes as long you also write your own with it. Not forced but flow. People are learning in thier own way may not be your way but take how you feel grow with your own. Same goes for people people use the same tag line to message someone not putting effect to really be creative with the blank profiles nothing to even write back. Someone coming of think you are the same tell you would you be in to a 3 person thing when they did even read you don't swing that way yes more of a lost of words. |

It's such a challenge for me, knowing what to say in a blog. I am always open to suggestions on how to improve things and become a better writer.
Sometimes I want to share things that are personal, but at the same time, I want to make it entertaining and interesting for people to read. So I'll sometimes post about random stuff, just for variety, and sometimes I'll talk about relationship stuff that's based in part on personal experiences. I always hope that I don't turn people off with that. I have also found that, as a general rule, my posts about kink stuff and sexual fantasies tend not to be as well received as some of my more random "fun" posts (about cars, music, outdoor adventures, and what not.) Just an observation; and it may be because this kind of thing is fairly personal and what drives one person to orgasmic sub-frenzy may make another person squeamishly uncomfortable. |

Yes, not at all what I'm talking about. Blogs that share personal experiences are wonderful to read and learn from. It's the (almost always) dominant men who post essays about how Ds should be, how and what they would offer in a dynamic, that I'm talking about. It looks like advertising, just disguised. Blogs are your own space, knock yourself out. I just wondered if anyone else had noticed them and found them dodgy and reeking of wannabe. And I genuinely worry about an inexperienced submissive being sucked into it. As dollMaker pointed out, you can't post in challenge. You just get deleted. |
