Windows.

Or specifically, Windows 11 < Windows 10 < Windows 7 < Windows XP.

Each new version of Windows is crappier, less effective, and less efficient than the one before. By the time they get to Windows 14, it will probably be back to functioning the same way as 1980's MS-Dos.

I had the dubious privilege of waking up a friend's old dinosaur Compaq which runs XP. Looks so boxy compared to now.

But never mind that crap, people deny it in articles and on tech forums but just wait. They have already done it with Office software with O365, and they have long since proclaimed that "We are now regarding Windows as a service, not a product."

Don't be surprised when, one day soon we'll all find out that Windows will be a subscription service. It just follows.

As it is, the yet to be released Windows 12, working name "Hudson Valley Next" will be "A.I. First Integration" It'll have deep A I features baked in. Other than that, they dicked around with the Start button as usual, modernized the UI, and "12" will come out in three tiered editions and three prices. Up top is The flagship "Ultra" edition, which has all the bells and whistles and is the most A I of them all, then there's Windows 12E for nerds and pencil-necks in school, and at the lowest cost "Mainstream" version called just "Windows 12" for ordinary assholes at home. There also has been an unconfirmed (of course) leak that there will be a subscription-based advanced A I add-on offered.

A foot in the door is all it takes , guys and dolls... Then comes the Big Tech foot up your (rhet) asses!

However, as anyone who does a lookup will see, all this is "unconfirmed".
If they catch the geek who did the leak he or she will be flipping burgers, emptying garbage cans, and scratching his or her ass shortly.

Actually, I liked xp, and 7 pro... the rest were disappointments. These days Chrome gets it done for me and I can't be disappointed with something that's free.
God I wish I could think of something disappointing... and to my utter disappointment, I can't 😞
