Cooked The Rice - What’s the Punishment?

WW I pretty much agree with you, and examples you gave are perfect examples of why I do.
Perhaps "different cultures should always be respected" is a poor choice of words. What I meant by that was that the customs and practices of all cultures should be acknowledged as being rightfully their own. Therefore, much as we would, and try as we might, no single culture can or should be considered by all to be the gold standard if it contradicts customs and practices of others.
Unfortunately, inclusivity and acceptance are not necessarily the same thing, and are often at odds with one another. There is even legal precedent for accepting "cultural norms and practices" as defense for things like you mentioned.
An important part of what I said was "even if we disagree with them" which, in the examples you gave, we definitely do!

I get it my friend. As mentioned, I used your post as a launch pad because it was the only post that showed me the quote button. I hate that the quote button is missing on 90% of forum posts I'd like to comment on - and to be honest, I pass up on commenting nearly 100% of the time that I'm not able to quote the original author.

As I mentioned, I'm with you that some things just are not going to get my tacit approval just because they're the cultural norm for those enacting the punishment. I'm deeply disturbed by the trend that everyone needs to be given a pass because their actions are reflective of their culture or upbringing. We only need to look at world history to identify the instances where "tolerance" failed humanity egregiously.

quote button

if you are on a computer using a browser and the button is missing, i recommend ensuring your browser is updated to recent version, that your cookies and cache are cleared, restart browser. if still missing, try another browser.

Glad that worked for you, but those solutions did not help in my case. This is the first time I've bothered with any forum in ten years because of the very annoying limitations and software glitches that plague them. I've only resorted to old school forums because Mark Zuckerberg zaps anything resembling kink right off his FB platform in less time than it takes to use your safeword and I'm considering getting back in the game as far as local pick up play goes. 🙂

Gosh! Don't be so hard on Brats. There is validity in that sort of dynamic, like that they are craving firm boundaries and a capable enough dom to earn their respect.

I'm not a brat but if someone is an asshat, I am defiant, determined, calculative and perhaps a little sadistic. I must say though, this is only when they mess with my life or my tribe, not to test limits or the like. I am mostly a loving, honest, caring socialist 😇.

You guys are hardcore. What did they do to receive that kind of punishment? I have no experience with punishments other than being punished when I realise how much of a dick they are and wonder what the hell I was thinking. Don't know if I want to be punished in that sort of manner... 😳🤔

Like everything else we do that sort of punishment, or others like it, are entirely dependent on what the nature of the dynamic is, and what has been negotiated. So it could be that something that harsh could be used as a punishment for the worst possible thing imaginable, or any minor infraction. Just depends on what rules have been negotiated and established and accepted by all parties involved.
I have no first person understanding of why a sub would actually want to be punished for anything anyway, but every day I thank the BDSM gods that they do!

Okay, well that's interesting. I know every dynamic is unique but I didn't consider that submissives requesting harsh punishment. I know - quite naive and inexperienced I am. I like pain but punishment..... well, I would be crying a lot! I don't know like getting in trouble.

And let's not neglect to mention the "funishment" variety
