Giving Up

The problem is too many, being dishonest and trying to force things, it is just not attractive or sexy. I have to agree with many who have posted here. It is a shame so many want to give up. A true connection is difficult to find. Many in search of the same thing. Honesty and respect. Not sure why it is so difficult to find a match, but it seems it is. Not everyone can share the same interests /limits etc.

I think if one is going to want a photo, it is best to be upfront about that. Make it clear in the initial conversation that, if a partner (at either end of the power dynamic) going to want to go any further than just being friends, then a photo will be required.

If your hesitation to provide a photo is because you fear for your identity I have two responses: if you hesitate because you're a cheating asshole, then screw you, because you deserve to burn in hell, alone. If you hesitate because you're scared that your partner will out you to the world, then perhaps you should not be engaging in sexual activity with a person you cannot trust.

If your hesitation is because you are insecure about your appearance, then maybe you should do something about either your appearance OR about your insecurity. Learn to say "fuck you, I don't care what you think of my looks," or, "I have a personality that outshines my physical appearance" or DO SOMETHING to change your looks. If you can't find something about yourself that is attractive, how can you expect anyone else to? Arguing that you should be able to wallow in self pity while some person custom writes porn to get you off is selfish and childish.

Sure the topic is giving up but at least two have given up OR they decided to block everyone. OK that happens ? sometime ?
As long as we lost our original OP ( original poster ) we can take this off to the side.
One thing that I mentioned in a different discussion was this matter of misrepresentations of the truth. We could call this a lie, sure but this other statement is more refined.
Misrepresentations of the truth does not need to include anything said but to deliberately frame a belief that is completely fabricated is a serious misrepresentation. and cause to completely question the credibility of someone.
It is obvious that certain people ARE DOING THIS with misrepresentations on.
AGE
LOCATIONS
PHOTOS OR LACK OF PHOTOS, or simply posting every teddy bear or flower without a accurate picture of themselves or any picture of themselves.
No wonder people give up, they don't know who to trust so they do not invest with self in a question mark type of person.

I could carry on here but I don't know if people want to deviate from this discussion in order to address these constant misrepresentations that are ever present in social media which includes here.

a few thoughts and hope to hear yours
