I like music with good instrumentals. I hate rap, disco and today's head banger crap for that reason. These people dont know how to really play. They only know enough to make noise.

I like classic rock ..Pink Floyd...Genesis...Led Zeppelin...Yes
Music you can pick out one instrument and follow the complexities of the riff throughout the song.

That's what I like

Me, except for elevator music, I pretty much enjoy any genre from 1950 to today. Music has always been an emotional outlet for me, and I tend to listen to whatever is reflecting my current situation. As a matter of fact, elevator excepted, I cannot think of a genre in which there is not some music I enjoy.

Always need it for background noise when working...I’m a nerd...give me some 80’s music and I can have a karaoke party all day! 🤣

It heavily depends on the song itself. Music videos are also good (when done very well). Time to start linking.

This one is VERY unique. An interesting, at first, calm song that builds up and becomes tense with a "scary" vibe. The fact it's translated from Russian (the song is in English) somehow adds to the creepiness factor which somehow enhances the song/lyrics. Like something is a little "off". Which fits the tone of the song itself perfectly.

Upbeat. Tense. About conflict and power. Forming bonds through fighting. It's a good "watch and see". An old song mixed with a game that brings the two together. It helps to know the plot. Basically, Virgil is obsessed with power. Becomes a demon. Dante (his brother) tries to stop him. Nero (Virgil's son) ends up stopping them killing each other and fights for his farther's acceptance. The strange goth guy is known as "V", who is Virgil's "other half" after he splits himself in two (demon form, human form) and then ends up becoming whole again. Now focus on all the fighitng in the vid as the tune plays. It even touches on the story a bit in the song with it adding to it. It's actually impressive they managed to do that. Ultimately the music vid (and game) is about power, strength and choice. And what happens when that power lacks direction.

This song is simple yet effective. About a dragon in a tower. has a "dom vibe" to it. And also a sense of solitude and loneliness. Not really much I can say about it. Except that it reminds me of when I once isolated myself. Wonder if that dragon sees the worst of the world?

Dark matter. Slow build up. Gets faster. Another "dom vibe" song but much darker. But in a somewhat upbeat way. If you got a boss fight in a game you like try playing the song in the fight. Are you that puppet on a string? Or are you making those puppets dance?

Haunting melody from Witcher 3. But with lyrics. Pretty sure it's referencing the witches (that eat people).

I'll let this one speak for itself. It's a little hard to tell exactly what the song is about but it seems to be about hurting each other and getting into conflict "Mr and Mrs Smith" style (from the movie). Awesome tune either way. It's a good metaphor for relationships. Especially when it mentions the mess you BOTH made. The question os "what are you fighting for" can also have multiple meanings and is always worth asking.

Same here. She's gotten really annoying since she ended her talk show.
