There are some off line club/dungeon, community groups specifically for people of colour, but sadly BDSM is mostly a CIS het white club, and on here is no different, the demographics are unfortunately what they are. The reasons for that are very complicated, and varied, and while I am aware of some not being a person of colour I don't think I can or should even attempt to talk about it.

There are people of colour on here, hopefully they will reach out to you.

If anyone is racist to you on here, take screen shots and report them to site admin.

Welcome to the Cage.

I can attest to the statement above. Even though we african american are less that 13% of the population- "in 2020, the Black or African American alone population (41.1 million) accounted for 12.4% of all people living in the United States, compared with 38.9 million and 12.6% in 2010. (census.gov)", the percentage of those in bdsm and kink are less usually. less. you can look for groups that are open to all races but smaller chance to find a group with amjority african american.

I know in the southern states there is a group called Onyx and Onyx Pearls which is a female (identified) only group.

A few sites that might help:

Hello and welcome! I recently attended my first munch. It was the first time I publicly expressed my interest in bdsm and I was nervous that I’d be the only one in the room who looked like me. I was relieved to see that I wasn’t. We were less than ten, but we were there.

I’m still educating and finding myself in the community, but I’m always open to making new friends ☺️

There used to be a conference called Black Beat that was run by, and primarily created for, kinksters of color. The website is gone, but the Twitter and some related, regional munch groups on [NAME OF KINK SOCIAL MEDIA SITE REDACTED] still remain: https://twitter.com/blackbeatinc?lang=en

A similar east coast event called the Weekend Reunion also started up, but then COVID hit. http://www.weekendreunion.com/home.htm

The Carter-Johnson Library is a repository of kinky media run by two Black former leather title holders: http://carterjohnsonlibrary.com

Mollena Williams-Haas is likely one of the most famous Black kinky people on the planet, so she wouldn't count as closeted. But hey, she has a podcast for when you're feeling lonely. http://www.mollena.com

Hello love!

I extend my energy towards you! There are more African/African American people on this site then you would think.
I’ve made many an acquaintanceship here with black woman and men all over.

So please don’t feel too alone, we are all here and ready to support you on your journey. I always recommend talking with fellow submissive’s who have been on The Cage/ in this lifestyle for a number of years. We are a small community but we keep tabs. ;3

Welcome and I hope you find what your looking for on your journey! ❤️

Looking at the question from over here in England, I do find it it sad when people find it necessary to identify themselves by their skin colour - and look for groups of people who have the same skin colour as themselves.

If, as a white person, I did that I would instantly be called a racist.

I prefer to look at people as human beings first, kinksters second - and race/colour nowhere.

I would prefer my lifestyle not to be segregated by skin colour.

Maybe I am wrong.

Your comment comes from a place of privilege and ignorance, I understand fully why the op has posted what they did. I suggest you educate yourself. But here is a hint, the same privilege and racism rampant in the vanilla world is fully rampant in the bdsm world, even in England.
