Never let a Rose die
With St Valentines approaching many a Rose will be on sale, but before you buy a bunch of them, please just read my little tale
That beautiful a most delicate of plants took so many years to grow, is it right to cut her down, for a few days and just for show
The Rose has fought hard and long, it stretched up to find the Sun, if you look real carefully, you'll see the strength in one
See all her struggles, see how she's tried in vain, to blossom into beauty, just to be cut down for your gain
Just for a few days of sitting pretty, in a vase, until she dies, then tossed into the garbage, where the gift tag also lies
Surely to nature her, give her room to bloom and grow, then you would have her always, now thats the way to go
Do not cut down your Rose, keep her well tended in her bed, give her love and caring, make sure thats she's well fed
She will blossom under guidance, she'll reach to find the Sun, and when it comes to beauty, you know that's she's the one
So when St Valentines comes around, don't by a Rose to die, find one and nurture her, just look for the one and try
