Searching for eternity (2)
The castle stands an imposing sight, high above the town, as soon as the Sun sets, the town just closes down
They know people go missing, as children they heard the bed time tales, of what comes down at night, the fear it never fails
Doors locked, windows shut, they hang crosses everywhere, saying their prayers at night, Holy water splashed here and there
All of the superstitions, tales handed down through the sands of time, sadly most of them are useless but it makes them sleep just fine
But high up in the Castle the Vampire King begins to wake, hunger runs through him, a life tonight hell take
He walks down the main hall, tapestries hung high on every wall, portraits staring down at him family one and all
He stops as he always did, of the painting of his Son and Wife, though they've been gone one hundred years, the pain still cuts him like a knife
Killed by a evil plague, there were many villagers also died, he knew he couldn't save them, though he knows at least he tried
He remembers giving up on life, drunk laying, praying for a end, that was when he appeared, with charismatic blend
We drank loads of wine, I sat and i told him of my woes, how I prayed to be with my family, you know how the story goes
Then he was upon me, I felt my blood run out my vein, the life force was leaving me, soon we'll be reunited once again
He closed his eyes and welcomed death, a end to his pain and strife, he gave my life freely, to be with his son and wife
Then he awoke under ground, he pushed free and cleared his eyes, there stood the Vampire imagine his surprise
He didn't take his life, he turned him, now he's cursed, to wander through eternity, to him this existence is the worst
Why didn't he let him die, now for one hundred years this castles been his home, barren cold and loveless, he's dead and all alone
Cursed for all eternity, to feed where and when he may, hated and feared by all mankind, never again to see a day
With a howl he flies into the night, in the distance he spots a candle light, he swoops down to peak inside, he sees a wondrous sight
