A fantasy piece based on a conversation with a friend about how the love of his life slipped through his fingers. A cautionary tale about not seizing the moment
The love for you I hide
Yes We've often laughed and giggled, we even kissed one night, I still remember that magic time and how the kiss felt right
We've gone out shopping, we walked everywhere arm in arm, I always try steal a glance at you, you're full of grace and charm
Your kindness knows no bounds, I'm captivated by your face, I lost the count of how many times I've cried held in your loves embrace
Through so many heartaches, lost loves, when i lost my parents to, I wished I had the guts to tell you, I'm so in love with you
The times I've nearly spilt the beans, I've thought the time is right, I get so close to saying I love you, then recoil in fright
The fear of rejection, I know our special relationship would change, if I took the first step, the dynamic I'd rearrange
Who knows maybe you feel the same way, you might want to be more than just my mate, I'm so scared of losing you as a friend, I think why should I tempt fate
So I'll going on loving you from afar, together along lifes journey we will ride, you'll never know the pain in me, or the love for you I hide
