My dusty desert heart
A smile could be all it took, to let a romance start to grow, it maybe from a stranger or someone you already know
A simple momentary eye contact in a crowded room, can make your heartbeat faster and make you kinda swoon
A simple gesture, or a few kind words, can make your heartbeat pound, then the seed is planted and it grows when they are not around
Then when they're not about, your mind wanders to their side, they just appear in your mind, though you haven't even tried
Hiding inside your mind, though you have no real control, the seed of love has been planted, deep inside your soul
Is this how love starts, can it grow from just one glance, will it grow inside my desert heart, if it gets the chance
Will it's roots find enough to hold onto in my hearts old dusty plain, will it get enough nurturing to really bloom again
Are you the one to be by my side, are we destined to never part, are you the Rose that will bloom inside my dusty desert heart
