So the process has started. As you can see, the Artist has a blank canvas from which to start.
The day began with the normal morning stuff then off to Duluth for my 11am appointment.
The first thing up was stencil work making sure that every thing worked and was positioned correctly on my back.
The stencil had to be done in 4 pieces due to the size of the piece.
As you can see from the smudging, it took a couple Runs on the wing of the right shoulder to get it setup perfectly. Once ready, it was a quick break to let it dry in and then the work could begin.
The next hour was all of the work in the center of my back and done the spine. Let me just say that this was the most spicy area. The worst part was the tips of the tail going over the kidney area. This was sitting face forward in a massage chair.
After a quick bathroom break and stretch, it was time to move on.
The next hour was spent on my stomach for Left Wing, minus the top little bit.
Another hour of on my stomach and the Right wing was done.
Then we went right to the chair to finish both sides top of the Wings.
The lines were completed within 3 hours of the stencil being placed.
Stage 1 completed.
Stage 2 of shading gets done in 1 month. Stay tuned. 😁
