When someone hears the word, there is an implicit bias leading to the assumption of a menacing hunk of metal sharpened on all sides, spikes strategically placed, and a heaviness creating the potential to injure, maim, and kill.
One tool for every job. Every tool for one job. Fists, knives, blunt objects... bad intentions? Deception?
Pain is subjective. There is a standard for assessing pain though - 1 to 10... 10 being the worst pain you ever felt. Here's the rub: tolerance and threshold are unique.

I dont know how to explain what fear crawling under your skin sounds like... or the high pitched shrill of a sword hitting the ground as a warrior becomes compliant, kneeling, the final sign of obedience. Together they fill my ears and echo deep, reminding me just how extensive the void in me is. A vile symphony you're not likely to forget. I remember. I remember, as if never feeling peace. An absolute calm triggered by the quiet sanctuary only one is able to provide.
I dont want to fight anymore. I fabricated a way to justify this treason... forcing myself to adopt the idea of giving up being some source of strength.
I frequently wonder what kind of lunatic has toughts like this on their mind... in their mind. Am I fucking crazy? I feel like I wear a mark belonging to the morning star... constantly overwhelmed as the scale tips back and forth. Am I, fucking crazy? Grave situation, having to question the validity of your sanity. Insanity.
Demons are real and Hell exists.
Resurrected strength. Yes. I saw the time I occupied the pit as wrought iron in a forge. Relaxing the metal just so, to manipulate it with ease. Out of the fire onto the anvil... where its subjected to damage and injury, creating strength to harden it. Suitable only as a weapon.
