I'mME - I see a collar taking on different meanings these days. A collaring ceremony used to be very sacrosanct, meant way more to some partnerships than a ring. Often these days, self-described Doms/Masters are handing out a collar upon meeting someone.
What's the purpose of the collar then?

But, to answer your question, I LOVE a play collar and the thought of a leash to it sends me... well, into deep submission as B&C so eloquently said.

A "day collar " to me is something the Dom gives to his submissive that she wear EVERY day, out and about and not "giving away" the meaning, BUT the meaning is soooo significant, being owned! That's how I see a day collar. A representation of that ownership... being able to be public but private.

My Daddy gave me a leather anklet years ago, W/we call it my "shackle". Meaning, I am shackled to Him AND THAT means the world to me. and Every time He says "shackle to me" I am beyond happy and joyful! It's the epitome of me being HIS, a representation of that I belong to Him and He owns me!

Sweet Ginger​(sub female){⚓ } - I'm single but I do feel the collar represents different things to different people...I have a collar that I had hand made just for me ..it's lavender lace that ties in the back..why do I wear it if I'm not in a D/s relationship? Glad you asked. 🙃 it helps center me..I'm sure some realize, they smile but it's more for me to draw into my feminine energy.
If/when relationship status changes I won't be wearing my personal lace collar that has a different meaning for me..I feel that choosing collars is a personal thing that should be something special between the Dom and his/her sub.
