Tersely Pertinent

This blog is a place for me to post things to get them out of my head.

My writings give a hint of the way I view the lifestyle, both good and bad.

My projects give my hands something to do, when my writing fails me.

For the width of a flogger handle, that is.

The ones I got going now are 1.25 (or one and a quarter) inches.    I think the next one(s) I want to try will be either 1.5 (inch and a half) or a full blown 2 inches.

Problem is I am not sure people can get their hands around 2 inches and feel comfortable.   Guess a trip to Lowe's is in order tomorrow.

dollMaker(dom male) - Handle should balance the falls, so where the falls enter the handle is where the balance point should be. My advice is go with what is comfortable in the hand, your hand, what sits nicely, and I would not be tempted to go too big, too heavy, and falls not too long as they can splay outwards at the tips, thus making landing them accurately hard.

Handle size, diameter should feel comfy in the hand.

If you are making it for anyone, then go with the average.

TNS(dom male){TSS} - As a fellow wood worker and metal fabricator that deals with rod. the 1.5" rod will be perfect. you want to make sure they have a secure grip and 2" may make people unsure when flogging. you may also split the difference and make a 1.75 rod and see how that feels in your hand.
