This technique is very simple to do. No need to be an artist, just draw or color what you see. You can add to it also once you get a visual idea of what you see. Just draw a continuous line lightly around the surface of your paper. Your lines must cross in order to create shapes. If you lift your pencil, continue where you left off. The more shapes you create, the better, however do not put so many in it that it becomes a tangled mess. When done, look at it until you see an image or part of an image form in your mind. If nothing comes to mind, then turn to the next side. Keep turning the image until you see something on one of the sides. Draw what you see right over the lines. It's best to use colors at this stage so it stands out. You can add to it if you like and if the original image suggests something more.
My drawing was a result of working in a women's drug rehab for my first 50 hours of Clinicals. It occured to me that there were hands on my paper. So I developed it and afterwards realized that these women were all helping one another as they shared their stories.
