My Friends,
Within our sphere of reality, we are free to see what we want. I could see dark rainclouds as a gloomy threat or as a blessing for my gardens: it is all in my ability to choose. I have had a saying (it could be a mantra) that something is never as good or as wrong as it seems. A newer quote is, "It is what it is." However, how I feel about whatever and what I do about whatever is up to me.
I have often been teased that I make a science out of everything (LOL): Investigate, experiment, theorize, and apply what I learn to my life.
I see all the plants and animals around me ask questions and look them up. When I stand with a wide-open vista, I imagine the past and future, how it got the way it is, and what it may look like.
Entropy ensures that things will change, and I can not stop it. However, I can accept, adjust, and move on.
