Red stood in the darkness at the edge of the woods. The full moon, silver and bright cast eerie shadows off the gnarled trees. Her black raven hair danced in the breeze.
Thunder rolled in the distance. The breeze turned to a strong wind
Red stared into the woods, searching the black void. Knowing... her muscles flexed, goosebumps rose from her flesh. Her heart pounding, echoing in her ears, chest heaving.
A slight rustle, Red’s eyes snapped forward. She met the gaze of a pair of silver eyes, low to the ground. The pair remained locked into each other’s gaze.
Slowly with purpose Wolf emerged from the darkness. His coat black, with silver hair He sniffed the air, knowing the scent. He snarled baring his teeth.
Red held her palm out, casting her eyes down. Watching from the corner of her eye. With a soft voice she spoke “you’re safe”. Wolf stepped back crouching down. A low growl emerged from deep within.
Wolf lunged forward, running fast and hard. Closing the gap quickly. Red braced herself setting herself in a strong stance, ready
Wolf ran from the trees, his paws hitting the ground soft and swiftly. In a powerful leap wolf launched into the air, hurling himself at Red.
Wolf collided with Red in a thunderous crash. They toppled and rolled across the ground. Red grasped onto his fur, Holding tight.
fingers of lightning streaking across the sky, followed by crashing of thunder.
Hands grasped wrists, bodies slamming into each other. Chests heaving against each other.
Reds hands were pinned to the cool earth. Rain hitting her face. Blinking, she looks up. No longer an animal, Wolf now a tall, solid man with dark hair flecked with silver looked down at her with dark eyes.
Wolf leaned in, hovering close to her lips and whispered “be still”
