What does "friend" mean to you?
To me it means unconditional acceptance - to know my deepest faults and my deepest weaknesses, and love me despite - and not exploit. To need me in their life, as I need them in mine. A shoulder to waste my fears upon, an ear to scream upon.
To share tears with, and beers with and "god help me I cant make it here" with
An island in the wake of an early flood.
A chalice in the spilling of blood.
A resurection, a crucifixion - a chance to be understood.
To be battered and bruised, and subtly obtuse.
My mentor, my mat, my muse.
