Good enough.

Thoughts of a sub whose seen too much in her young life.

So my house flooded completely Sunday night down stairs. There was a clog in my.main drain pipe outside that caused yucky water to back up and flood everything. All I have to say is THANK GOD FOR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE.

If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be able to return to my own. It's already starting to mold in my carpet and my kitchen floor/cabinets and dishwasher are completely  destroyed.

Company is coming out tonight to clean up/dry out the rest of the nastiness that is left in my house. It's disgusting and I hate it now.

Currently staying at my father's house with the kids to keep them away from the disgustingness that is my house currently. A contractor will be out tomorrow to see everything that needs to be replaced... which is almost everything I own downstairs.

But that's okay! At least the pipe wasn't broken and my insurance covers it!!!

As always be kind!

venia(sub female){notlooking} - I’m so sorry. I had this happen a couple of weeks ago and it was horrifying. Thankfully it was in the downstairs garage / basement area. No-so-thankfully my ex informed me that our homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover the cleanup.

Pandabear(sub female) - That really sucks. It's the only good thing is my homeowners insurance does cover it but only because it was a clogged pipe and nothing else.

venia(sub female){notlooking} - Mine was a clogged pipe but apparently because it was “water that backs up from sewers or drains” it was excluded, or so says the ex. It was the nastiest thing ever. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that in your home, especially messing up your Christmas plans. 😕

Pandabear(sub female) - Luckily for us we have really good insurance. So it worked out really well. And it's literally the same thing that happened to us.

venia(sub female){notlooking} - I’m glad at least the insurance piece worked out for you. I had no idea something that nasty could even happen. Thank goodness at least there are people to hire that deal with it. Yuck!
