Firecracker Diaries - A combination of stories, random thoughts and an appreciation log of life with Daddy

I'm a owned and collared. The journey I have been on with Daddy is amazing...and only gets better! This is my daily entries of what is going on in my head and stories of all the things I’m learning with Daddy!

Breath Control - Asphyxiaphilia, auto-erotic asphyxiation (if solo play), breath games, breath play, hypoxyphilia. Games involving control or restriction of air and/or the supply of oxygen to the brain. Strangling is usually the compression of the carotid arteries to prevent oxygenated blood reaching the brain; suffocation involves reducing the level of oxygen in the air available to breathe. Hanging, where the body is suspended by the neck, though a relatively common fantasy, is very difficult to stage in a non-harmful way for SM scenes: remember that judicial hanging was intended to break the spine, not cause death by suffocation. All these games are very dangerous to play alone, and may also be dangerous if with a partner.

This is so hot... I would have never believed that I would love this as much as I do... but I love it! It brings a whole new level to pleasure...aaaammmazing.

Thoughts?

Coltic - To be honest, I didn't like the thought of breath control. Until I was begged to have my hands on her neck. Once I had her in my hand against the wall and finding out just how excited it made her, she made me rethink it. Just made sure I didnt cut off the wind pipe. I would slow blood flow in the neck and kept a very close watch on her eyes.

SweetSirRendering(sub female) - it’s amazing, but too dangerous, no safe way to do it, so i won’t.

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - I enjoy single handed choking. Yes, the choker needs to keep eye contact but it's more than that. The flush of the face, the sound of the breathing, the movement of the body. The chokie needs to always keep their hand on the chokers hand and stay mindful of their own situational awareness. Once it starts to go fuzzy, it needs to be released and the signal for that can be 3 taps to the hand.

Never, ever, EVER enter subspace while in a choke. At that point, you are unable to provide a signal and THAT is dangerous.

Coltic - Yes those are all good tells as well and depending on if her hands were tied and was able to give singles like that. I also used the count system or a bell with a ribbon between two fingers. There are many ways depending on the moment. The key point is to make sure whom ever is being controlled is safe and they have a way to end it.

dollMaker(dom male) - The risks of death, or permanent damage occuring are way too great Breathplay, choking in my view is similar to playing Russian Roulette. its only a matter of time. Hot idea or not, my advice, don’t do it.

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - Yes, it is extremely dangerous and I DO MOT recommend it for the casual user. As it happened, I have a partner who was trained in the military on close quarter combat for several decades, which kinda gives him an educational advantage. 😈 And me some SERIOUS pleasure!

SweetSirRendering(sub female) - i agree dM. it’s like russian roulette every time, there is no amount of training or practice to prevent the silent risks. i play with breathing techniques instead.

dollMaker(dom male) - Military are trained to kill, and or render an enemy incapable of resisting. These techniques get one there, but are they safe to do breath play, and not cause damage? Can one, by feel only know exactly what is going on in the structure of the neck, when pressure is applied? Is this going to be safe every time? Does the neck structure in one person change day to day, moment to moment? Can it be safe, then not safe based on these changes?

Restricting air, any amount of air so its felt, has effects, on the brain. There is plenty of good, solid info on the effects and Lee Harrington has written a fair bit about it.

The risks are simply too great, and to difficult to predict. Is dying really worth it?

dollMaker(dom male) - I meant to say Jay Wiseman above, though Lee has too in relation to rope.

I wrote about this, back in 2019, with links to useful articles here https://thecage.co/blog/userblog.php?blog_id=15139&postid=19478

Coltic - To every person's diffence tastes. I myself body wise cant be choked. Do to the fact as a unborn baby I had my cord around my neck during birth and had to be a c section. So I choke from turtle necks. Cause of that I didnt choking. Things changed. If your going to be safe about it. Make sure you as the controller are paying attention. Make sure the controlled has more then one way to indicate a stop. I am not say one should or shouldn't. Just be safe about it if your going to.
